Abby Johnson is a former Planned Parenthood director of an abortion facility in Bryan-College Station, Texas. In September 2009, Abby had an experience that would forever change her view on the issue of abortion.
Abby assisted in an ultrasound-guided abortion procedure where she watched the ultrasound video as the tiny unborn baby struggled to escape the vacuum abortion that ended the baby’s life. She recognized the profile of the 13 week old baby in the womb and watched as it fought for life and explains: ” I saw the probe going into the woman’s uterus, and at that moment I saw the baby moving and trying to get away from the probe. And I thought, ‘It’s fighting for its life’…My mind was racing, my heart was beating so fast, and I was just thinking, ‘Oh, my gosh, make it stop.’ Then all of a sudden, it was over. I saw the baby just literally crumble and it was over.”
On October 6, 2009, Abby Johnson resigned from her job at Planned Parenthood where she had been working and volunteering for 8 years. She insists that “if clinic workers saw what was happening on that screen, they would be running out of those clinics.” It exposes the truth of what is happening. Ultrasounds are a powerful tool to change a woman’s mind about abortion and help her embrace the sanctity of life; it allows women who see the baby by ultrasound to connect with a maternal bond. “This is what the abortion industry does not want their workers to see…they don’t want people to see what’s actually happening in the woman’s womb.”
“I use to tell women that abortion removed a mass of tissue, but that’s not true. I had to account for the body parts of aborted babies.” Johnson makes the point that while officals with the abortion business claim that only 3 percent of pregnant women who enter Planned Parenthood receive abortions, the figure is closer to 95 percent.
She also explains that Planned Parenthood’s business model relies on income from abortions. “They won’t protect your child because there’s no money in doing that.”
